Ms Yashoda Pradhan of Kerandia village in Nimapara block of Puri district in Odisha is a victim of Mahanadi floods 22. Her house and farm field is under water since last 2 days. As the water level is rising then the situation is going to be worsened. Her family have lost the food grains and cooking is not possible. The whole family of 4 members are living on stoked dry food which is going to end soon. Her 2 acres of paddy field which was shown recently is completely submerged and destroyed. Her half acre of vegetable field( ladies figure) is completely submerged since last 2 days and will be damaged within a day or two. Her family has lost one year agri income with immediate effect, affecting the food security of the family for next year. She will be distress selling her household assets( including cows) to withstand the effect of floods. Her son who returned from migration due to Covid will again go for “Dadan” ( migrant worker) to kerala.
